My neice, Violette Mai

On October 1, 2011, Violette Mai Marsolais was born. I'm officially an aunt. She is the perfect baby. I know all mom's/aunt's/uncle's/grandparent's think their baby is the cutest baby ever, but she really is. I didn't use to be the "newborn baby holding" type, but that all changed when I became an aunt. I can't wait until she's old enough to talk and walk. I look forward to taking her places and sharing my love of the beach with her. I'll make her a beach baby! :) I'm gonna be a fun aunt!!

Road Trip to Seattle: Santa Monica

Our last stop on our roadtrip was at the Santa Monica Pier. Unfortunately, we drove all the way home later that night, so we didn't see anything south of Santa Monica.

The Santa Monica Pier was also really awesome. The Oceanside Pier definitely has it's competition.

Road Trip to Seattle: Central/Southern California Coast

As we continued driving down the coast of California, we came across some amazing beaches. I don't know the names of them, but these pictures show how awesome they are.

This is a tidepool where my cousin and I found a lot of awesome shells and sea animals. There were houses right above these tidepools. They found an amazing place to live.

This bridge leads to a really tiny island. You can't see it that well, but if you look really carefully, you can see land.

Road Trip to Seattle: Rocky Creek Bridge

We are still driving along the coast of California. I never realized how big California is. It took us three times the time it took us to drive through Oregon and Washington. I have to say, Oregon has some really pretty spots (the waterfalls, etc.), but nothing beats California.

These pictures are at the Rocky Creek Bridge

Road Trip to Seattle: California Coast

While driving down the coast of California, there were some really pretty beaches. I don't know the names of them because there weren't any signs, but they were amazing.

Road Trip to Seattle: Monterey Bay

Today my cousin and I went to Monterey Bay. We walked down by the Aquarium and took a lot of pictures. Here are some of them.

Road Trip to Seattle: Santa Cruz

My cousin and I stopped in Santa Cruz. We got to see downtown. It was pretty cool. It was a huge collegetown.

We also went to the Boardwalk. It was pretty awesome. They have a "carnival/fair" right on the beach.
